Hoping to make it to SFCR for a half day of fishing. Got to cheer on some graduates in the late afternoon.

Got on the water at 9:30 the water temp was in the mid 50’s Scooted down to Goose Island to check out some spots from the past. Lot shallower than I exspected I marked around 15’ as I went from side to side. Marked fish but no one would play. Saw 2 bank fishermen catch fish looked like a trout and the other a small bass.
Headed backtowards Norton. Got 4 hits on the fly and 1 fished hooked up one a jig and worm, but quick released me at the back of the boat.
Lots of boats there and a number of people camping.
Talked with 2 guys that had a mixed stringer of walleye and trout all looking to be around 12-14". They were trolling not sure with what.
Boy it was great to get out again! It’s been a month.[fishin]
To bad about the slow fishing but still better than a good day on the couch [:p] thanks for the report. Its starting to look like its gonna be pretty nasty on Monday so not going to be able to go dont have a big enough boat. But soon VERY soon.
Had pretty decent fishing between Goose Island and China Creek in 8-10 feet water early morning. Caught quite a few eater size walleye, some real nice bass and a few trout. Drifting the shore line throwing shadraps while also dragging a gumdrop floating jig with 1/2 a crawler
Well thanks 2dogs guess I should have headed on down towards the backwater area. Do you know if you can put a small boat in down in that area. Heard one guy got really stuck down there. Took 2 tow trucks, the second to pull out the first tow truck and the guy with the boat.
