I now this should go on the events board but I desperately need to contact all members!

Saturday the 29th is the Rockport take a kid fishing/ luncheon party!!! Be sure to pm Polokid with a head count for food and me as well for a kid count for prizes.

Hookedchica, MGB, Kentofnsl, DanielJRioux, and myself have put up a bunch of cash and donations for the kids prizes. Depending on conditions, I will have a casting challenge and maybe one more fun event depending on weather and ground conditions. (all will win a prize regardless)

Please pm or reply to this post so I am sure on a head count for the kids! I will be making up the prize bags next week and want to be sure I have enough for all.

Hey fish1on,

Do you have an alternate place if the ice is no good at Rockport? Were you able to get the stickers I dropped off at HFT?

I forgot to mention your generous donation in my post with the others. I am truely sorry for that and will edit the post. I have yet to pick up my goodies from Hooked that you and hookedchica have provided me. I plan to either tommorow before I head to BL or one evening next week.

I have to be honest.. there is no alternate plans in the way of location. I pm’ed Polo this morning and he will be scoping out Rockport Tuesday and we will make a decision as to go with it or cancel till February.

Our main concerns are the ice thickness and ability to walk safely. With this many folks attending and a bunch of kids joining us we want to make extra sure that all will be safe. Larger groups of people congregated in a small area on thin ice leads to disaster.

Again I am sorry for excluding you on the post for donations!

You can count on 1 adult maybe 2 and 2 kids 9 & 5 years old.

Please do not worry about the sticker donation, just chalk it up to BFT provided them for you, I was just the mod happy to give them up.

The main thing I am worried about is the safety of everyone at the get together. Reading the posts online it does not seem safe for kids at this time.

I will try to make it with my family. If I do not have a great gathering!
