Headed there in the a.m. any word on it?
Be careful, take a life jacket and someone else, It was warm last night and today. Wish I could join you.
I fished Ririe today and caught kokanee and trout west of the island. The ice was four and a half inches thick and the officials told me there were about 30 people there fishing on Monday and Tuesday. I understand the ice at the mile mark is only two inches deep, but three people ventured up there, but I did not trust the ice and stayed near the island.
Best fishing for kokes were from 2 until 4 with several schools coming in between 5 feet to 40 feet below the ice. There are a few larger ones this year as I caught one over 14 inches and two other group also got a couple of 14 inchers.
By tonight there was an inch of water on top of the ice from the rain and melting of the snow on top.
Thanks onlyone for the feed back. Hope your having a great week with the grandkids.

I hope the ice holds with these temps and wind.
Me to . I plan on going there monday. Sat and Sun night it should be in the mid teens but hopefully colder
Dropped by to check the ice this afternoon. It’s an inch thick at the end of the boat ramp. The temp was 45 F and the wind was booming down the canyon.
If you go, take a canoe.
Thanks. Still going to check it out ,but the back up plan is
Big Elk Creek or Mackey
Near record high temps until Friday
, overnight lows in the teens. I hope the ice is able to grow enough during the night to make up for the stinking day temps. If anybody has any current ice conditions please keep us informed.
I heard from a guy who heard from a guy who drove up there Saturday and the reservoir was ice free. Not exactly what I would call a reliable report. Has anybody been up there this week? Feels like April out there and this is usually our coldest weeks of the year
.
I checked the ice on Sunday. There was 4 inches of ice In the spot that I checked it. I have heard reports of more ice and less ice in spots.

My buddies fished it today. 4" around the ramp but very spotty further away. Use extreme caution!
