I always expect Rockport around Christmas. It’s been cold, but that doesn’t change much for deep water. Utah Lake is (was) frozen, but it is shallow.
I’ve been curious about Lost Creek as well.
Relax everybody, I did a recon on Echo and East canyon yesterday Dec 1st, Echo is 90% open water and East is 99% open. I had the same thought about it being colder and earlier than years past but it is not to be. Middle of Dec. at the earliest and probably not till the end of Dec.
You know how it is when you get that ice fishing itch. I comp at the bit every year.
