Hi, I’ve been lurking around this forum for quite awhile, and decided its time to post. Believe me lurking is much easier than posting. Anyway, I’ve seen at least one post that was asking if the crappies had started biting at Pineview. I’d sure like a mess for dinner sometime. Any reports?
I will be going to pineveiw this thursday at about 6 a.m.
if noone reports by then i will let you know as i’m ready for some slabs for dinner as well.
Hey,thanks for the reply. Hope I’m hearing some good news tomorrow. Good luck.
Welcome to the site Dave. From the reports we have had the crappie catching has been slow. Some of the guys are doing good for bass and perch but it might be tough for crappie. Good luck and please let us know how you do.

Hit pineveiw this morning.
Got there at 6 am got the tube set up and was on the water fishing by about 6:30ish, didn’t get anything for the first couple hours, kicked my way around the bushes near shore useing everything i could think of, finally found a spot where the perch were, they were hitting worms under a bobber or just chucked out to let do whatever
with no float or sinker, there was no real size to any of them. Did manage to get 2 bluegill, one worm under bobber, and one small curly tail(green) under bobber.
Left at about 10:30, as i ran out of worms couldn keep the perch of.
Thanks for the replies guys. From the sound of it the crappies have probably spawned in the middle of nowhere. I like a good bluegill outing, so maybe I can go for them if the little-itty-bitty perch will leave me alone. Again, thanks, and if someone else would like to chime…Do it!!![reply][reply][/reply][/reply]
