I would think most guys on this site are pretty ethical fishers, and I think we’re here to help others catch fish..I appreciate good info and am glad to report that Pineview was hot again today, at least from 6:00 P.M. to 7:15, when I had to leave (snow storm, my wife’s phone call, you know) ..good crappies again, 8 1/2 to 9 1/2"…N. Cematary
how was the slush and standing water?monday was a messy watery condition
Thanks for the great report to bad you had to leave. I was going to go but I was afraid of the slush monster considering all the rain and warm weather. Might go Thursday evening.
Thanks for the info I might try and hit it tonight or tomorrow night if anyone wants to go I would be glad to offer a ride up from ogden
I was going to hit Pineview Tuesday evening, but the weather man changed my mind. I didn’t want to drive back to Evanston in a blizzard. I ended up hitting Echo for a few hours, and would have caught more fishing in my toilet. I very well may hit Pineview Thursday afternoon, to hopefully catch a couple perch, and then wait for the crappy to move in after dark.
water/slush not an issue…most frozen over, a little breaking thru the slush, but like on other posts, with proper footwear, no problem…this warmer/cloudy/snowy pattern seems best for the crappie bite, and I’d take it any day over sunny/cold or sunny/warm days, at least for the crappie here.I started about 4:30, but no action 'til 6:00, then hot…air temp. as I parked was 26…
Good to know the fishing is good in the evening. It sucked for us during the day yesterday on N. cemetery.
You can catch them all day…offer up multiple sizes of baits…they seem to get aggressive/passive in very short timeframes…a short quick jigging action followed by a pause will get a bite about 75% of the time up there all day…slather all baits in attractant (smelly jelly ) aND tip with a meal worm. 45’ of water.
You HAVE to use a flasher. Fish the middle section of the marked fish…they seem to be the most aggressive. The top fish are pretty passive…
Hope that helps
I agree with you. I have benefited and been grateful for posts I have read and help from others. Thanks for the info.
Thanks for the tips. I haven’t done too well up there this year. I appreciate the help!
