Fished the Narrows, not super crowded. As expected caught a number of smaller perch(around 6") and a few keepers. Looks like there were plenty of people over on Browning, North Cemetary Point, and Middle Inlet by the islands. Nice to at least have some action and the boys had a great time sledding down the trail. Yeah, that was us bombing down from the top of the trail to the ice on the jet sled!!

looks like a good catch, how thick is the ice out there in the narrows??

i plan on taking a group of people out to cemetery point this coming wednesday, hope it’s 6 inches by then if not a little more, i know some of the guys would like to bring their snowmobiles but it might be a bit early for that yet…should be out there wednesday thursday and friday so hopefully the fish are biting

I was out off cemetary point friday over between cemtary and browning point(s). the ice was a good 4 to 6 inches of clear with any wheres from 1 to 3 inches of white ice on top of that. the ice was groaning and popping all over the place too!! that weird whale call sound it makes while it cracks like a rock hits a water tower. pooooooeeeeewwwwwww!!

good luck! I did not go over near the narrows.

The south side of the narrows has quite a bit of ice; probably close to a foot now. The sun never really hits that side this time of year. The north side is anywhere from 7-9".

Problem is, I don’t know how the ice is between the boat ramp and the narrows. You can bet it is a bit thinner out there.

We fished the marina and caught some keeper pearch and a few crappies. We decided to move to browning pont. As we were walking the trail off the point we stopped to talk to a guy that had a bucket full of 14" crappies!!! I wanted some for dinner but no luck all we caught is a carp.

I also had a fair day at the narrows. Same report as the rest of the week, except I did land one nice crappie.

A guy walked over to us around 1 PM and showed us a picture of a 39" tiger muskie that he just pulled through the ice not 50’ from us. He said he caught it on a panfish setup. I didn’t see the fish, but the picture looked legit. Pretty impressive! Hopefully he’ll see this and chime in.

thanks for the info, ill be out like i said wednesday, thursday, and friday will report back…might even go tomorrow too if i can…what can i say i love ice fishing
