Had an average night at Palisades in the Big Elk area fished from 4:30 pm to 7:30pm with the lantern. My son out fished me 3/1; proud of the kid he actually kept jigging and doing very proper methods, the years of practice are paying off. Fished off shore in 15-20 feet of water 2 cutts and 2 browns 15-18 inches, no super bite probably missed four other bites. White glow tube jigs seemed to work the best.
It was one of those lucky days where everything was frozen! But with Palisades you never know about anything there could be a foot of slush tomorrow with misery, yet the bite will be so fast you will be in fishing heaven!
no-plenty of room even with water skiiers but I would not make that a place to fish…not very good during the summer. I would fish below the dam that time of yr!
