Fishing for chinook got a slow start but has turned around finally. Friday I caught a 15 pounder and yesterday caught a little 8 pounder. Lost one to a seal or sea lion a few days ago. Or maybe it was a submarine. Had a good fish on for about 30 secs then all of a sudden it headed for Japan and spooled me. Fortunately it broke at the lure knot so at least I got my line back. Had one or two others that I’m pretty sure were chinook let go. Catching lots of coho. Wild coho opened yesterday so later this week we’ll head down to a river where they’re legal.
