This is kind of a late report, but thought I’d put it up. I fished with a friend on the Soldier Creek side of Strawberry last Saturday. We caught a combined total of 10-12 fish. It was far better than my experience at Mud Creek the day before, but still kind of slow.
We fished a couple of spots between 25 and 40 FOW. We caught a few on glow tubes and a few on small glow ratfinkees. Most fish were coming off the bottom and the bite was light.
Good to know, Thanks for the report. How thick was the ice?
I don’t remember exactly. There was a bit of snow, then ice, then slush, then more ice. The base layer is probably 7-10". If it all freezes solid it’ll be a ton of good ice. If we have warm weather and the top layer gets soft it’s going to be an awful mess.
