North End Mirror Lake Hwy

Jeff, there are two lily lakes. I have fished them both tons of times. The one closest to the bear River lodge is great fishing in the summer, but it is only about 8’-10’ deep at the deepest it seems and most of it is less than 5’ deep. Could be a tough one to fish in the winter, plus I’ve never caught any out of it bigger than about 14" with 10-12" being most common. Not sure if it winter kills at all, but I suspect it doesn’t because I’ve caught brookies out of it.

Curt I think your talking about the higher Lily lake and if I have them straight that one is A-58 lake and the lower one is BR-11. Both were stocked during the summer months but not a ton of fish. I expect they may not carry the fish over the winter very well so they only stock what will be caught during the summer. I think I’ll scratch fishing off the list. Thanks so much for helping me figure it out. J

Thanks I think between your info and Mikes and what I noted in my last post I think I’ll bag trying to ice fish. Thanks for your help. J

Thanks Mike for putting the pieces together, don’t think it will work well so I’ll do it another time. Thank you. J

The Lilly Lake that is close to the boy scout camp has fish in it BUT it is in an area that is set aside for cross country skiing. Best not to take a snowmobile as it would cause a big stir. Whitney is your best bet with a snowmobile or Sulfur Creek.

Nice save, that would not be good to go where it’s prohibited… Thanks… J

The only thing I could add here is ice fishing higher elevation lakes is that you might need a auger extension

Doesn’t sound like much fun having to drill through that much ice. But if the fish were hungry it would be worth it. Think I’ll try those back country skis and see how well they work up there. Later J
