My eldest son and I headed for Newton this morning didn’t start fishing until about 0930. Temp was -4 but dead calm. We only stayed for a couple hrs as we wanted to do some scouting for geese as well. Caught 15 or 20 perch, but all dinks 5 to 7 in. maybe. Plenty of Ice, drilled 1/2 dozen holes and there was at least 8 inches of good ice. Met a fellow BFT’R named Steelheader nice young gentleman from that area. He had a couple youngsters with him and they were getting a few perch as well. There were several small groups scattered up and down the lake fishing. I was hoping to be on Starvation this morning but had to make a change of plans at the last minute.
