I fished for about 2 hours this morning at Newton. Didn’t catch any fish of any size but landed lots of small sized perch and largemouth bass (no bluegill). About 10:30 a.m. some crappie moved in and I caught four borderline keepers, about 10 inches each, but decided to release them to get bigger. There was a boat with two fisherman nearby and it looked like they were catching good numbers of crappie of similar size.
Thanks for the report, we sure don’t get many from that lake, sounds like you had a good few hours there. How low has the water leveled dropped, so far this year?
