Got out on a small lake this afternoon with John, who I met online this week who just got a new tube and was trying it for the first time. He took to it like a duck (or a tuber?) to water! he got some nice fish, crappies , sunfish , and a few bass showed up to play!

Always good to see a newbie get “well launched”. I don’t know how many times over the years I have heard new tubers say that they will never fish any other way…and that they kick themselves for waiting so long to try it.
I share your love for bass and panfish from a tube. I have caught hundreds of species of fish, of all sizes, but I still get my enjoys from rasslin’ with those little rascals.

Honestly, after tubing for more than a year myself and watching that video – is there really any other way to fish that could provide anything like that???
How did you capture that video? From a helmet cam or something?
I would like to get a head cam that would be cool! Nope I was doing some serious multi tasking, holding the camera in one hand and the rod in the other! That was the reason for the unorthodox landing with my feet! I didn’t have a free hand to grab the net! [sly]

Congratulations on your first tubed fish. It’s amazing what God’s little creatures can stir up for us when we meet them on their turf. I also have the FishCat4. It’s a nice little craft.

That is cool. I have the same tube. Only thing is, mine is almost 4 years old. It is a really good tube and very durable.
