Hi everyone. I live in Las Vegas but I have been fishing Southern Utah for over 28 yrs. I love all kind of fishing but have really gotten back into ice fishing the last 6 yrs.
Welcome to the site taggmon, do you mainly fish for Trout in Utah and Stripers in Nv?
Have you found our Nv and Ut boards yet?
Thank you for the welcome. I found the Utah board last night that prompt me to join. I do fish a lot for stripers at mead and willow beach. As for Utah I do fish a lot in Utah for trout but I do prefer the kokanee and different warm water species that are available. My preferred fishing is trolling or casting lures.
Good to know, where do you fish for Kokanee, must be a long drive from NV? Have you ever fished for Walleye?
Kokanee at Fish lake and Arrow Rock res. in Idaho. When I lived in Vermont growing up we fished the Conn. River for walleyes right after the ice breaks up. A lot of perch, pike and peckerel through the ice back then. I have gotten bored with trout out here so been expanding furth from Vegas to catch different species.
I hear you on the trout but they are fun to catch at times. I’d rather catch kokanee and walleye. Not a lot of activity on our Nevada board but we do get a few members posting during the Spring, Summer and Fall. You should give a shout out there, in years past members would post about catching big striper in the Fall and Winter or I could move this post there if you like?
