If you are planning on going soon, you could consider ice fishing at Fish Lake. There are some cabins available this time of year. If you are more interested in some open water fishing, you might want to consider Otter Creek or another water near Panguitch where there is lodging available. Hopes this helps. I’m sure your husband will be happy with any trip with you. I wish my wife was as open minded about my excessive fishing.

You could stay at the lodge at Strawberry but you would be ice fishing or you could stay at the lodge and drive over to the river that runs out of Strawberry and fish below the dam. You could also drive over to Flaming Gorge and stay at the lodge by the dam, then fish the Green river below the dam.

Great link thanks! I’ll have to post about how it went. I hope I can get all the gear figured out. Any suggestions for lures or flies for green river and flaming gorge?
Or should I just tell him before we leave so he can pick all of his gear? hmmmm maybe I will just bring everything we have. lol
Yea, telling him before you leave might be a good idea[;)]. I’m not really familiar with the fly fishing stuff you would need but you could check in with the folks on the Utah Fly fishing board. Also, send an Email to the Flaming Gorge lodge, they do guided fishing trips and can give you,up to date conditions of the river and what is working.
