I keep seeing people say they are catching bow, what it that?
They are referring to a Rainbow Trout.
I feel stupid… I should have know that… LOL

I had to Google what “slimer” was… it’s also trout. And boy does it fit! I like the taste of trout, but hate the hassle of handling them when you get home cuz I find it so hard to keep ahold of them to cut up!
Look up “fishing slang” on Google… that’s what I did, cuz I was too curious about ALL the slang to be asking for all of them.
Don’t worry about questions. There are a few gruff and curt people on here, but most of us are pretty good guys. Thanks for posting.
if there is one thing ive learned is that you can never ask to many questions. someone will have the answer and would love to tell ya if ya just ask.

Cliff - Sure, if you want to put up with me whining about the cold again! LOL I went by myself this last July, but didn’t get anything…a’course, that was from shore, and not where you met up with me either (more east than that).
And speaking of asking questions, it’s also good to ask when you’re out fishing… I tend to learn better being shown, than just told!
So trips out with various people is a good way to get “in the know” too!
