I don’t know if anyone else know this but Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 is “The New Fly Fisher” on Channel 9 KUEN. Is a great show. The two I have caught is Brian Chan (one of my Hero’s)
Chan is awesome. What a stillwater guru. I’ll have to look out for that one.
I have been faithfully recording and watching that show for the past year. It is very good explaining the basics of most fly fishing situations. Sometimes, the host is a little boring, but the information is good.
I agree about the last two episodes, Brian Chan is the king of stillwater fishing.
He has a couple great articles on the BC adventure website that I have faithfully read, studied and have great success on stillwaters with.
I’ve been TiVoing this show for a few months and have loved it. I was previously subscribed to the Outdoor channel so I could catch some Fly Fishing shows but wasn’t too impressed with those “Watch me fish” type shows. I canceled that channel when I found this show and love the educational format of this. This beats all of those shows combined.
You should also check out trout unlimited’s “On the Rise”. Its is more about the featured rivers and conservation than the host, Frank Smethurst. Frank is one heck of a modest, down to earth guy and one of the best anglers you will see anywhere.

I have watched the show -sometimes good sometimes it sucks- I really like Chan’s written articles but I didn’t feel that his shows were that great.
It was interesting to see who stocks some of BC’s lakes though. Just a critical old bas#@$ I am I guess.
See if you could somehow see the program “Fly Max” Nobody talks and explains things just awesome shots of awesome fish. My favorite show by far because I don’t have to listen to a host!
