One of the older posts from TD, he mentions adding naugahyde to the top layer of the tube. To keep spiny fish from putting pin holes in our tube.
So where can I buy this stuff? From a carpet store, Home Depot, where? I want to add some nauhgahyde before I do my maiden voyage on my Fat Cat.

I have not done it but i have also considered using those paper thin cutting boards you can buy at the store real cheap. Very flexible and very thin.
Most complete fabric stores will have it, at least in some colors. If it is going inside, between the cover and bladder, color doesn’t matter.
As also suggested, you can use thin plastic or even a strip of inner tube rubber. Anything to help reduce unwanted spine puntures.
