Mustard Pickled Fish

(for 5 pounds of fish)[/left] [left]1 cup vegetable oil[/left] [left]3 cups distilled vinegar[/left] [left]1/3 cup prepared mustard[/left] [left]1/2 cup sugar[/left] [left]1 tsp ground white pepper[/left] [left]1 tsp pickling spice[/left] [left]3 bay leaves[/left] [left]Mix these and bring to a boil.When cool, fill jars with the solution and onions. Cover with scalded lids and refrigerate a week before sampling.
