Does anyone know of any good spots to get into some whities? I live in the Ogden area and I would love to find some nice spot close to home but I am willing to travel to find a good spot.
I know that I am probably in the minority here but I really enjoy catching whities either on my fly rod or my ultralight. I caught a few on the Weber in Coalville and had a ball. Thanks for any help.
I dont know how far you wanted to travel but the weber river from above rockport to below hennefer is all good for whites.
I have not had much experience catching white fish but we caught plenty on the Weber in Morgan,right in town. probably two to three for every brown caught.
like it was said, morgan, right in town, walk along the foot path. right this second you could still probably get into them, but between echo and rockport is your best bet. once the water clears below echo youll catch a bijillion. they like shiny things so i toss a lightning bug, or sopmething with a lot of flash fly wise. the limit is 10 a day, so defenitly keep 10 since there are so many in there.
