So after days and I mean days of research I pulled the trigger and bought the Minn Kota Terrova. Installing tonight/tomorrow.
Few words of note: there are a ton of different models and you have to spend some time figuring out what features you would like to have.
If anyone has any questions let me know and I can probably answer them, spent multible hours on the line with MK and there customer service is top notch.

Since you did your homework I’m sure you must have purchased an i-pilot model . . . correct?
Without the i-pilot you might as well buy used on ebay.
I bought a 24v 80 lb thrust Terrova when the iPilot feature was pretty new about 3 years ago and it has been awesome. I have a 22.5 foot boat and it maneuvers my boat perfectly. The iPilot is a very cool feature, easy to use and mine has been flawless. I can bass fish with it all day and if I want to slow troll for kokanee I can get 8 hours of constant use out of it. My boat came with a Motorguide electric motor and it burned through batteries twice as fast and was not nearly as responsive with the remote control. I also had it in for 2 major warranty issues in two years so I’m very glad I made the switch.
What is the biggest difference between the terrova and the powerdrive v2? I have been thinking about getting one for several years and now the I pilot looks awesome .
