Has anyone been up to the Uintas and know if the lakes are ice free. I am guessing they are now, but that is a long way to drive if they aren’t.

The lakes over bald mountain pass toward mirror lake are start to thaw. Still a lot off snow. trial, tea pot, lilly, lost are good to go. If you are hiking up high good luck. Take bug spray
Fished one of the lakes this weekend. The DWR just planted a billion 8in rainbows. It didn’t matter what you had,spinner,fly,eggs,power bait,worms. However, I did catch a couple of healthy carry-overs from last year.

I was up there last Saturday. I went as high as Lily, Lost, and Teapot. All were open and I saw fish rising in all of them. I would also bet that Trial and Washington were open as well, but I didn’t go in there far enough to see the water.
