Bought a used 2012 Lund 1750 Tyee . Runs great the 150 horse gets right after it , the 9.9 kicker also runs great . The only problem I am having is with the MinnKota , first time out on Deer Creek didn’t know much about how to use the remote , so just ran it manually , worked fine steered okay etc. This time out yesterday on Jordanelle studied up on using the remote , set it to run on I-pilot , ran for a little bit ,then started shutting off , I would restart it ,30 seconds shut off again . But would still run okay manually . Finally gave up on the I-pilot for the day .
I made sure before going ,the remote was fully charged ,as well as the batteries . All three were showing fully charged , the day before yesterday . I also charged them back up after my first trip to deer creek the week before . I checked the charger when I plugged it in after the first trip , one battery ,which I would assume was the start battery showed 90% when it first started charging ,the other two I assume were for the MinnKota started at 70% when charging . After charging them back up after the first trip , as said plugged the boat back in to check the status for yesterdays trip , being it sat in the cold for a week , the charger was blinking green on 100% on all three for a awhile ,then went to solid green . All three fully charged .
Got home yesterday , have not yet plugged it back in to recharge . Mostly likely they are probably at about the same status as the first time , around 70% on the MinnKota batteries , and 90% on the start battery .
According to the serial number on the MinnKota Terrova it’s a 2022 , built in September of 2022 , so not terribly old . Not sure where to start as far as what’s going on with the I-pilot . I will get the batteries load tested to see if thats an issue . The date on the two Minnkota batteries is early 2024 , so they just about two years old . They are the Walmart Marine Everstarts .Any other ideas where to go with checking out the problem with this MinnKota ?
