Minersville Update?

Anyone hit up Miners recently? Fish should be plump if last year was any indication.

Wondering if the lake has turned over yet…thanks!

Ended up spending 3 days chasing fish. Final tally was north of 50 landed. some really healthy fish, which was great to see. None of them were super hot from a fighting standpoint, I think the water needs to warm a bit more for them to get a bit more active.

Did most of my damage on large size 12 chromie with red rib. Caught a few on leeches as well.

Had my best success at the DAM, I was in my pontoon, but had a harder time locating fish.

Should be a good year until we run out of water…

It’s been busy – especially at the boat ramp. NOT due to boaters! Bobber fishermen are really clogging up the ramp, the dock, and the shoreline around the ramp fishing nymphs below indicators – catching a lot of fish too. I sure wish they would park in the parking lot instead of on the ramp (or, slightly off the ramp). Boaters cannot pull down and turn their truck / trailer around…gotta back all the way down the ramp because it’s a parking lot for the bobber guys. Then you have to just back the trailer in and hope they’ll move off the ramp out of your way to unload. It’s just reverse when you come back – but it’s a good reason to do a full-throttle power load. Oh well – boaters paid for the ramp and the dock – if I piss off the anglers fishing from the dock and the ramp, so be it.

A little earlier this year , they were doing the same at Jordy , but it was the boat fishermen  parking their truck, and trailer on the ramp, but there has been  DWR present  the last couple times I have been there ,and they  got that shut down .

They got the docks in the water now , a few trips ago ,just the wedge dock ,and yes a couple guys fishing off that .  I just pulled in, they sorta got out of the way so I could unload my buddy to go get the trailer . That ,and guys in lawn chairs on the sides of the boat ramp , with lines in the water .
