Ice Fishing Contest Paradise Lake
**$15.00 entry fee. Be a winner with largest Pan Fish, Pike, or Walleye.

  • All entrants will abide by the laws of the state of Michigan. - Entrants must be willing to take a sworn statement that their fish was caught within the rules of the contest. A polygraph test may be required if the contest officials deem necessary. Refusal will be grounds for disqualification. Decision by the judge is final. - Entrants must personally catch any fish entered in this contest to be awarded a prize in this contest. No contestant will be eligible for more than one competition prize. - You may register as many fish as you want but only the heaviest pike, the heaviest walleye, and the heaviest pan fish (yellow perch, blue gill, pumpkinseed, or rock bass) will qualify for a competition prize. Prize for pike $300; for walleye $300; for pan fish $300. Prizes will be awarded at 2:15 P.M. the day of the tournament. If no fish caught in a particular category prize will be awarded by chance drawing open to all entrants. All prizes will be awarded!!! - There is no age requirement on tournament participation. - Contestants must fish only on Paradise Lake and any fish registered must come from Paradise Lake between the hours of the tournament. - If there is a tie in any category the prize money will be distributed evenly. - All fish entered must be brought to the Paradise Lake Marina judges stand immediately. Fish that are frozen, badly deteriorated, or dead for a long period of time will not be accepted. - Times of the tournament are 8:00 A.M. - 2:00 P .M.. All fish must be caught and registered by 2:00 P.M. the day of the contest, January 17, 2004. - Tournament participants must report to the Paradise Lake Marina to register & receive their flags prior to entering the lake. Flags must be visible at each ice hole being fished. - Tournament participants shall not enter the lake until 8:00 A.M.. - Contestants are responsible for their own safety, actions, and property at all times. - No spears allowed. Fish must be caught by hook and line. - Lake monitors shall have the right to inspect all containers and shanty’s before entering the lake and during the contest.
    A leader board will be located in the judging area. All effort will be made to keep the board up to date and accurate.

The Paradise Lake Association thank you for supporting our efforts to protect the environment and request that you remove refuse, including cigarette butts, from the ice when you leave.

Each entrant agrees to hold the sponsors and organizers, their agents or employees harmless from any liability of any nature and kind for any injuries, and or damages or disagreements suffered by the entrant before, during, or after the contest is held. An individual may be entered by completing the entry form and signing it. When completed this contract is binding and party agrees to abide by the contest rules.

Entry fee is $15 and must be paid prior to contest start time. For an additional $5.00 prizes will be awarded the first walleye, first pan fish over 8", and a chance drawing for 20% of ticket sales. I am not sure what day just yet. I usualy like to go when ted is there. you can alway expect a good show when he is there. also they to the michigan outdoors big buck night. (mucc, not fred trost)

do you guys have deer to show off at the msu big buck night or for the practical hunters award? or a fish for that matter?

nothing impressive , a five point with a 16" or 18" spread ,gonna do one of those european skull mounts with it .
the only fish i mounted were on a plate , lol !

I did not mount any thing eather, other than the plate. the others I let go. I did not want to eat them.

I thought one of your fish in the contest was big enough to send in the picture.

which one are you sending in, and which one are you missing? If I have a copy of it you could have it back by morning befor work. I started down loading the pic"s but not befor the other free web sites went down.

i know of horseshoe lake by rose city , but it’s a private lake . where’s this one at ?

this is privet only that you need to become a member of this shooting club. give um a hallar.

they have a shoot comming up as well. indoor, .22 caliber only. kids welcome. $5 daily range fee is all it cost to enter.
