Mill Creek - Arrived at 6pm. Had lots of trouble getting any interest in my silver so I switched to a blue fox gold size #1 and hit a relieable pool. Sure enough 2 fights but none landed. So I walked about a mile of river hitting fishy spots that were not totally over grown brush. Kept losingfish after fish till I got a surprise by a cutty. Hmm hadn’t landed one at MCR before!
Well it might have been tiny compared to that 26 incher the other day but the beauty of it rivaled it catch wise. I needed that fish tonight as a booster. It was released ASAP! The trend was not broken and I lost fish after fish. Finally I landed 2 browns to call it a night at 8pm. Tuff fishin…but rewarding!
Here was the pretty cutt
I want a fly that resembles this. They were everywhere!
The 2 browns that came to hand and went back to the water
Man that Cutt is really really pretty love the colors. Great fish. Got to love those small creeks. Its amazing were those fish hide and were you can pull them out of. Nice job congrats.
Finally a cutty out of that river! Personally I would like to see more of those in there. Now all you need is a brookie out of that stream. Then you gotta see if you can get all 4 in a day! Nice to see that it is not all brown trout up there…but then again…I find it hard to complain about that!
Great pictures…hard to believe that is the crappy Pentex Camera.

Oh the brush is SUPER thick. I think jigs are next. Or spinners without line! Ha ha ha!

hey pool dud where is your signature blue writing that puts you above all others, can you please draw me a map of where to drag a minnow around so i can catch a cookie cutter while other guys on the lake are limiting on game fish.
