I haven’t been up there yet. Was going to take my kids-since I have them this weekend-up there Saturday evening, but my daughter just came down with something this morning. Anyway, I’m quite confidant that with these baking temps of the past 7 days or so that the 'gils and perch should be biting well up there now (not to mention the bass).
You should go for it. And, let us know how you did…[;)]
I went up there 2 weekends ago. I drove up Sat at about 7:00 pm just to see how it looked. I saw a bunch of bluegill near the boat ramp and all along the west bank. So I figured that Sunday I headed up there and there wer ppl skiing and tubing and the fish were gone. I didn’t catch a thing. i really wanted to get my son to reel in som more fish. He caught a wiper a while ago and was smiles from ear to ear. We’ve been getting skunked ever since.
Good luck up there. If there are ppl skiing go to the east side of the lake.
Planning on hitting Mantua next saturday with TD…
I hope it has started to heat up some.
Just wondering if anyone has fished Mantua lately. I fish from the shore. Water temp would be helpful. The grandkids love to get the bluegill and perch.
