Im lookin for a recent report on mantua .. Fishing or drive bys will work..I would like to take my boat up tomorrow for 1 last trip too tangle with some bows an check the perch scene out before the hard deck sets in.. Any recent conditions would be great .. fish on.. FISHAMANIAC..[;)]
No ice to speak of.[;)]
As of the middle of last week, there looked to be about half the lake covered in thin ice when I went to check it out.
I guess it’s been a couple weeks since i was up there last.

I drove by about 3:30 sat afternoon, and there is very little ice on the lake. I think the wind from the storm blew it all off. That may have changed by sunday, but I live 8 min away and its not to cold right now.
[:/] well i took a drive up this mornin too check it out for myself..1 foot a fresh snow a skim of ice in the northwest corner.. time to put the boat up for the year i dont dare try in launch with a foot o snow standin on the ramp been there done that not my cup o tea…[;)]
With these colder night temps, it won’t be long now. Maybe a week.
I was up there friday and there was a fair amount of ice around the edges.
Anyone check Mantua today? Gotta be ice soon!

I would bet that after last night (and the last few) that Mantua has a cap today, but I’m sure it’s not thick yet, but *could *possibly be safe this weekend…
