Spent the day on Saturday as a boat captain for the TBF Juniors. Had three GREAT kids in the boat, unfortunatly the catching sucked !!! At launch, the air temp was below freezing, had frost all over the boat. Water temp was 50 degrees. Water warmed to a wonderful 52 by noon, but the wind picked up. Water is very clear, very shallow. Lake is about 2-4 ft. below full pool. There were some trollers out, but did not see any action by them. In spite of the poor catching, it was a great day. The three young men with me were really great kids. I had Ashton, Jordan, and Ben. My compliments to their parents for having raised such fine young men. Hope that things are better at East Canyon in May.
looked like a great tournament.. was one of the trollers out on the lake. caught six rainbows on a silver blue fox. Did anyone catch anything of size in the tournament? what won it? we tried for bass all morning, but gave up about noon and went after the sluggish rainbows.
I heard there was only 4 bass bought in. Sounds pretty tough.
I guess some stabil weather couldn’t hurt, and by looking at this weeks forecast it aint gonna be any better…
Nice post, sorry about the fishing, bu it sounds like a nice day on the water. Same thing happened to us @ UL…a PERFECT day, but the fish were not happinin in the #'s we would have liked to see. Good fishing is just around the corner …wooooooohooooooo!
Thanks for the post,
Shawn
The fishing is always great, it is the catching that leave something to be desired.
One of the guys caught a 4lber and there were several other smaller fish. Roger should have some pics and results up on the web site shortly. That url is:
