Hey i was wondering if i could get some help on fishing mantua? I am going to be using a fly rod. any tips will help i will be in a pontoon boat so i wont be limited to just shore fishing!

Are you looking to target warm water species like lmb’s and gills or Trout ?
If you looking for gills and lmb Id suggest tossing poppers, san juan worms or woolybuggers along the shore line
For the troutski’s Id suggest deeply fishing a bh hares ear unless you see the them rising.
Those are the only flies Ive caught fish on there may be others who can chime in on other flies.
For gills go shallow … they are spawning use a black ant #14 or Adams same size. Keep your eyes out and you will see them jumping off the weed beds. When the wind comes up, it’s time to leave… at least one week ago any way … good luck
I’ve found the hare’s ears work pretty well on the bluegill as well. Purple Prince Nymphs have caught a lot of them for me too. I’ve also had success tying a dropper to my popper with a beadhead nymph below it.
