Hit Mantua with a friend today. My friend landed a 16" rainbow in the first 5 minutes in 6 feet of water. I landed about 5 bass all about 3" long. We moved to 10 feet of water. In 10 feet of water I landed a 12" bass. After that we smacked down on the perch the rest of the day. They ranged from 2"to 8". We fished from 0800 to 1100. All in all it was a a fun day.

My 13 yr old and I hit that pond today as well, and even met up with my buddy Chuck (Smokepoles). Got there around 9’ish and well, I should have known if I fished with these two, they’d show me up. They proceeded to pull out fish after fish, and much to my surprise they even left a few for me.
Lots of trout today (most around 13-15", a few perch (some around 8-9")…but where are all the bluegills? Not a bad day at all, and the slush wasn’t hardly a concern either.
I think I’ll try it again on Christmas Eve.
