Anyone try these on Mead?
They go from 25+ to 50+ feet.

nope, but they look pretty good and if they dive that deep, that would be sweet. I know that many of the supposed deep divers that I have claim 20’ and theres no way they are getting there.

Lure Reference Chart
This is a simplified printable version of the lures chapter that you can put in your tackle box. The line out refers to how much line you need to let out when trolling with each lure. All distances are calibrated for use with 30 lb test Power Pro braided line. If you use monofilament you will need to let out more line to achieve the same results. The lures section of this document gives a more in-depth detail about each of these lures. If you have stats on any other striper lures contact me and I will add them to this chart.

Mann’s Stretch Series of Trolling Lures
Mann’s Strech Trolling Lure
About Mann’s Stretch Series Trolling Lures
The Mann’s Stretch series of deep-diving trolling lures can get down deep to where the stripers are, without the need to use planners, trolling drails, or even lead core or wire line. The lures and associated hardware, including hooks, are strong and durable and can withstand the strain of fishing for and catching saltwater gamefish.
The stretch series of lures come in sizes of Stretch 15, Stretch 25, Stretch 40 etc., where the number after the name is the depth, in feet, that the lure can achieve when trolled.
The lures have a large extended plastic lip on the front that bites into the water and causes the lure to dive. The lure has a slow pulsating action designed to attract striped bass.
Mann’s Stretch 25s and 30s are very popular, and effective, for trolling for striped bass in both the Delaware and Chesapeake Bays, and in the nearby ocean.
The Virginia state-record 73-pound striped bass was caught on a Stretch 30 off of Cape Henry on Jan. 23, 2008. To see more about this striper and a photo, follow this **Link: **73 Pound Striper.

Thanks, looks like some great info.
i bought 2 of those huge Storm Lures from walmart for 2 bucks and at 125’ of line out i was bouncing it off the bottom at 75’…
i figure if you don’t hook or snag a fish with one, you will scare the s*it out of it.
lol
I have fished those, and they work for the stripers. If you can graph enm, you can follow the school with trolling lures like these. I was interested in how deep they dive, but i just cant get over that ugly design…
Thank you for good communication.

FYI: If you are going to use one of those lures or any deep diving lure trolling, I highly recommend you use a fishing reel with a line counter.
Keep letting line out until the tip of your pole starts bouncing. The tip bouncing means your lure is bouncing off the bottom. Remember how much line you had to let out to hit the depth you see fish on your fish finder.
