Lost My Shoes

I woke up at 6am this morning to go fishing, about as excited as a rock. I was tired as hell but I knew I really wanted to catch some fish that day. I gathered my gear and hopped in my Chrysler Sebring Jx (The perfect fishing vehicle? Lol jk). I decided I would try some new spots that I had only heard about. My first stop was a spot that my friend had claimed was good for catching River Sturgeon, it is named the BridgeportAcess point, its about 5 minutes outside of town. I got there unloaded my stuff and walked over to what looked like a decent spot. I was WAY too tired to think about what sort of weather had been occuring throughout the week and I failed to remember that that particular spot may be closely compared to quicksand. I immediately sobered up and realized that my foot was 3 feet down in clay/mud…I was pissed because I couldn’t get my foot out! Obviously I put pressure on my other foot so I could get my left foot out of the thick mud, but to no avail…I ended up losing my right shoe in the mud as well. I got out of the mud after a 6 minute struggle and took my socks off and walked carefull to the car, surrending my footwear to the earth…I should probably mention that at the next spot I tried this morning I almost lost a sandal to the exact same type of incident…Today was not a good day, and I am thankful that I am still alive and not stuck in the mud. I hope you imagined me struggling in the mud under a bridge, about 3 feet down in a panicking motion. God bless! Lol.

that’s funny

read my story scruffy, almost the same situation but my experience could have turned out much less funny.

Haha, that sucks. I hope they weren’t expensive shoes!

Maybe all one can do is hope to end up with the right regrets. - Arthur Miller
