I am living in Germany and once been with my wife to Canada for a vacation. Off course I went for fishing there. But as I wasn’t alone and the cousin we visited preferred waterskiing from fishing it was just one single day. [:/]
This is more than 20 years ago but still absolutely present.
I went to this forum to hav a chance to meet fishermen from Ontario because my relitives still live there although the contact faded away. I would enjoy to hear about Canada and if there is someone who would like to exchange the old fashioned paper letters that would be an absolute killer. 
But emails would also be fine.
The only water I once went for fishing was the Great Rideau Lake. My relatives had a lodge there.
