I have a friend who’s mother loves to eat Bluegill Sunfish.
I don’t have the time or $ to travel to Pelican so I am looking for a place locally that I can catch 10-15 Large bluegills as a gift to her. I don’t want to take too many so their needs to be a ton of them. Please let me know if you have seen any cruising the shore where you fish.
In my experience, big bluegills don’t cruise the shore. The truly “bull” gills are found where deep water meets the edge of a shallow, weedy flat - especially if a hard and soft bottom meet there, also.
Im not sure where you live but utah lake holds some nice bluegills all of the harbors have some in them, just fish along the shore line with small jiges tipped with worms
