Live from Pineview

My buddy Travis and I are on our yearly weekend ice fishing trip to Pineview and Causey. We are going to be night fishing Pineview and head up to Causey tomorrow. We are fishing the narrows tonight we are in 44 feet of water. We have had schools moving through between 15 and 30. As well as some on the bottom. I have caught 3 small perch so far.

Travis just caught a small crappie on a green and glow ratfinkee in 34 feet.

how small is small and get more photos. keep them commmmmmmmmming!

We fished until 2AM Weds night. Between 5 of us we landed around 10 crappie 1 perch. Fish on us all night long. Small grow finkees tipped with crawlers were the ticket. Fish were there just didnt want to bite very often

I just landed a small crappie on a glow rat finkee suspended in 30 feet of Water. We are using waxworms.

Small is about the size of my index finger for the perch. The Crappie are a little bit bigger then my finger. Numbers have been good but no size as of yet.

Thanks for the posts…we are here with ya Man.

Thanks for the update CL.

We have found some bigger bigger Crappies down near the bottom. I just caught a nice size perch. First good sized one of the night.

The action has slowed alittle bit as the sun sets. Travis has gotten into the Crappies a little bit. Have caught perch on the glow RF but not the green RF. Have caught crappies on both.

Love these live reports.
Thanks for putting them up.

We have caught 4 crappies since the last post. Lots of fish on the showdowns but not many takers as mentioned earlier.

The fishing has stayed pretty slow. We have both caught 1 crappie. We switched from green and glow back to glow and we both caught a crappie afterwards. Talked to another guy and they have only caught 3 fish all day.

I think this is amusing.[fishin]

Are you in an ice shelter of some kind, and is it comfortable for night fishing?

Yeah I have a shanty and a heater. Night fishing is great if you are ready for it. Here are some pics. We ended up with 15 crappie and 4 perch

Finished up the trip at Causey today. We did pretty good. We fished the middle arm. We did end up getting a cinco de causey. Rainbow, cutt, tiger, splake, and koke. Used green, glow and pink rat finkees. Action was steady until 11.

Wow, best report from causey I have read this year. Did you get more than one koke? Did you seen any big schools come through?

I caught 1, hooked up another and saw another on the camera.

It looks to be about 12 or 13" long, is that about right? Did you have a finder?
