I am in the process of updating some “just in case emergency” essentials and I am trying to put together some outdoor survival packs.

My question is I want to have a small, sturdy, multi-piece rod and reel combo that I could keep in a backpack and grab at a minutes notice. It doesn’t have to be anything special, just something that could be used in an emergency survival situation. Also, it would be nice to have some sort of protective case to keep the rod and reel in.

Any suggestions??

I have a friend who got one from Cabelas in Lehi. It is pretty neat, and compact, don’t know the brand or anything, but I think he said they only had one rod of the “break down” style. He carried it in a box no bigger than 1’ by 6".
