Launch conditions at Lincoln Beach?

Finally going to go fishing tomorrow. Headed to Utah Lake and would like to hear about the launch conditions at Lincoln Beach (with the extremely high water). I am guessing that one can still launch there but I wouldn’t want to drive all the way down there to find it totally flooded.

The launch ramp is good but the person that parks the truck gets their feet wet getting to the dock.

Thanks

I launched there two weeks ago and had to back down into the water much further than in the past. The upper end of the ramp must not be as steep. I wouldn’t know about the dock, we load/unload people from the sandy beach.

Kent- I went out this a.m. lookin’ for a stray cat. Tough launch. I had some knee high boots that helped but hip boots would have been better. Did see a couple of guys that came in on an angle from the south side of the ramp and seemed to have a better shot at their trailer. It is a tough launch if you are alone as I was, but it can be done. I had a rough time 'cause I’m trying to recover from a gut full of stiches but I got ‘er done.
Fishin’ wasn’t good for me. Tried in close by the orchard buildings, then shot out to BI, then back to Benjamin slough. One mudder. I was using carp meat. Didn’t get there until around 10:00 due difficulty getting the mattress off my back this morning. I’ll be there again in the morning – 17 ft Tracker, black and silver, give a shout if you see me.

Best to ya.

[fishin] Whats it looking like for launching a 24’ ???

How far are people backing down the ramp . I have heard that some are submerging there rear bumper. :sunglasses:

A 24" can be launched but not without getting yourself wet or wearing some boots. I launched a 17" behind an '07 Ford and my exhaust and half of back bumper were under water. Helps to have someone with to help.
The road on the south dike is closed now.
