Great report and pics Alan, were the cabins on the water, where you stayed? Is that trout with the red spots the bull trout? With those temps and that wind, it must have been really cold up there.
Looks like a fun trip Alan, so did the wives find stuff to have fun while you were fishing? Looks like it could be a fun spot for a summer trip too… I need to find spots so my non fishing wife can still have fun while I go fish… don’t think I’ll make the drive up there, but might be fun to do your fly-in option… I’ve been wondering about a Cascade summer trip some time when I’m closer to retiring… think it would be fun to be in that type area to play… Thanks for the report… J

Been wanting to hit this lake and try to catch a big Gerard bow so Dave and I booked with a guide to learn the ropes for 2 days. We rented an AirB&b in Bayview, brought the wives along and made a mini vacation. Temps were cold with lows in either single digits or low teens with highs just below freezing. Guide was great and shared a ton of info on the how, what and where. We ended up with 1 nice bow about 12lbs, had 1 break off after the hit on the DR and caught another 8-9 bows up to about 5lbs. We also got a bull and a western slope cutt, coloring of both was beautiful, I had never seen a bull before. The guide ran 14 rods with the planner boards and DR’s with apex’s, Lyman’s and flies. 1st day all the fish except 1 came on the DR, 2nd day it was just the
