Went out saturday am with the wife south of 33 hole in the tubes. Spent five hours in the water for a few bites and one smallmouth. Very slow Even the wardens that checked us said it was slow for everyone that they had checked. Oh well had a nice time on the water.

Actually got him on one of my favorite baits… a beetlespin. It works great near the weeds and other cover.

I think you should get rid of all your other fishing gear (give it to me) and just go out with some darter heads, Gulp minnows and of course the Beetlespin!
But I love to carry all the other gear just in case.

Yep. I get alot of smallies on the beetlespin and the rattletrap. Not too many on the tubes. Go figure.
