The spawn in south-central Texas is over on all of our lakes.
Water temp. is over 71 degrees and fish are recovering from
the stress. Look for LARGEMOUTH along secondary creek channels, running 6’-8’ breaklines or holding over rock piles and stumps at that depth. 2" Lit’l Fishie Shads are producing fish to over 6 lb. for our clients with the majority being males in the 2-4 lb. category. SMALLMOUTH have pulled out too. Work 6’-12’ points of sloping gravel bars using 1/8 oz. chartreuse Terminator spinnerbaits, chartreuse 3" Super Tubes and Devil’s Tongues on split shot rigs.
