No pics today so I know this is just a fish story but it's my fish story. Started out this morning around 8 just after the rain and tried a crappie spot I haven't been to in a while. It was windy. I caught only 17 crappie but 14 were keepers. Most of them between 12 to 13in range. After seeing a few fish bust the top of the water I decided to break out my bassert special the tail spin and boy I'm glad I did. I fished with it for about an hour and ended up with 9 bass 1 white bass 1 shad and to my surprise 2 more keeper crappie. The wind got too bad so I had to call it a day about 11. Hopefully cooler weather is just around the corner and the crappie bite will get better.
