Went fishing with my 2 1/2 year old son to kidney pond yesterday. I was out fished by a kid with a little nibbler fishing pole. My son caught two nice sized catfish. They were both 18 in. and just about at 1 1/2 lbs. I am ashamed of myself, I only caught one small trout. But seeing the look in my son’s eyes when he pulled them in was better than me catching 100 fish.

There is nothing better than watching kids catch fish. Most of the time when I go fshing with my grandkids, I even let them reel in what I have caught. That gleam in their eyes tells me we have future fisherman and fisherwomen. Good Job.
