The crappie spawn has started. The males are arriving on shore
and are being caught on minnows and jigs. The females have not come in yet
but it will only be a few days. Don’t wait too long to get on the water and try
for the slabs. Largemouth are hitting crankbaits on the gravel points in Lake
Barkley. Whitebass and catfish are slow.
