Far better than expected. Went up there mostly for a 2-hr season-opener look-see. Smallest Mem Day wkend crowd ever…some sailboaters, a few tuna boats and only two skiers. Difficult fishing with north wind whitecaps carrying all the shoreline dead grass & debris back out into the main lake, and it was rare to retrieve a cast without a matted mess. But I got some fat & sassy 13-14" smallies off the 4 spots I tried from 11:30-1:30pm. Half of them were a squirtin’. Water temps 54-56, and clear to 4’ away from the mudlines. Nice to see some of the new growth greenery already submerged.
Nice report, it is good to know that there are some nice bass in there.
