Looking to hit Jordanelle this weekend and try for some smallies. I have fished Deer Creek in Wahlsburg Bay and Rainbow Bay.
I would like to try Jordanelle for some bigger bass. I do not have access to a boat so I am looking for some expertise about locations to try from shore and how to get to them.
So bass fishing is what I do as much as possible in the summer time and I have seen some great success at the Nelle. If you are restricted to shore you need to find a place that has some good structure and drops off into deeper water quickly. I have found that the bass have started to go deep with the colder temps. Good luck and let us know how you do.
There are several areas around the lake with great shore access if you are willing to walk a little ways. One of them is Ross Creek, which is on the north end of the lake. We drove by there recently and I took this picture, the sign looks fairly new, has anyone fished this area of the lake before?
