Mike and I got to the Nell at 6:00 and use on fish about as soon as we got the boat in the water..
We meet up at the Sportsman at 5:00 and headed for Jordanelle, the water temp was 67 at first light and air was a warm 43…
Mike got his first Jordanelle bass along with about ten or so more his biggest was 13 1/2" or 14" I think, we fish all over the lake but only found bass in a few spots with one place having the biggest at 17"…
All was got by drop shotting with a Mojo down shot weight in 1/4oz…We got off the water at 12:00 and headed home after a great day and a fun fishing pardner…

Awesome bassrods…way to live up to your name. Still got to get one of those caps for the old man.
How did you know it was me??? I’m in disguise…[;)]
i could tell by your huge hands. nice report bassrods.
Thought I spotted your boat in the vacinity of Sportsman’s around 1pm today…
I am thinking of going up tomorrow, think it will be any better?
It could have been us I was dropping off Mike…
Many thanks to Bassrods! That was a blast fishing with him and I learned how to catch Jordanelle SMB. What a great fishing partner and new friend. Yes it was cold that morning and the water was warm. I was really shocked when I pulled out my first SMB and it was warm to the touch.
What Bassrods failed to mention was that he caught at least 20 fish and he was telling me that it was a bad day. Hmmm, 20 fish in a half day of fishing does not sound like a bad day to me [;)]. He also missed a bunch because he was teaching me, I bet he would have had a 30+ half day of fish.
Nice Report Bassrods, Those are some fine looking fish. I have yet to get the hang of bass fishing, but it is on my to-do list.
