Does no one ever work anymore? I had to work a couple hours this morning first thing, then a couple this afternoon. Looking at the clock I realized there was a window that I could fish a little, I needed a fix since it had been since Saturday's CBA that I had gone. When I got there it looked like a Saturday!!! emoEek People everywhere, the boat parking lot was getting full and I had to wait to launch. I know it is the Memorial Weekend but that was a lot of folks. Got in the water and started slow rolling a blade. It was no time at all that one slammed it that was 2/10. Made a couple more casts at that spot and picked up a shakey. Made the same cast that the 2/10 had just hit with the shakey and one loaded up. In came a spawned out female that was long but only weighed 2/1. Picked up my blade again and about 25 yards down it got crushed. Rod doubles and it for a second did not move. I had on some big game line I think it's 15 lb test so I just held her and up she came. Big jump! emoBigsmile I love this time of year. emoHeart It went down and pulled drag, then came up again and finally rolled up along side my boat so I could lip her. She hit the scales for 6/10. emoThumbsup 25 minutes into the trip and three in the boat for 11/5, life is good. I rotated between a crank, shakey and a blade off and on all day. Caught them from as shallow as 3 foot to as deep as 20 feet.

When the sun got high overhead the bass slowed way down but not after I had boated 13 bass with 9 keepers. My best five were 2/10, 2/13, 3/0, 3/9 and the 6/10. I had to leave earlier then I wanted to go back to work but it was a great little outing. There were/are many a day I would love to have 18/10 with my best five. emoTongue I have family stuff this weekend I have to do so you guys fishing should do well. Good luck and save me some. emoToast

Happy Memorial Weekend to all. emoGrouphug Jmax
