W. LAFAYETTE, IN—Online registration is underway for the “Becoming An Outdoors-Woman” camp being held by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
The weekend-long event offers women the chance to learn and improve skills like fly fishing, as well as canoeing, horseback riding, camping, hunting, outdoor cooking and shooting.
The camp is scheduled for May 14-16 at Ross Camp near W. Lafayette. Enrollment is limited and the $160 fee covers lodging, meals and equipment. The DNR says some partial scholarships are available for students, single parents and low-income, first-time participants. Participants must be 18 or older.
